Wedding Cakes

This page is designed to help answer all your questions regarding booking your cake and the design process which follows. We want to make the process as relaxing as possible. Weddings are stressful enough, so we want you to feel confident leaving the cake in our hands.

Your Wedding Cake

Booking your date

Once you've confirmed your wedding date and booked a venue we'd love to hear from you. We first recommend that you send us details of your date and venue. We can't wait to discuss your plans and ideas for your wedding, but it's important we check our availability to avoid disappointment! Dates fill up faster than you might think, so we recommend booking your cake at least 10 months in advance. You can secure your wedding cake with £100 booking fee today (non-refundable). Please note, between the months of May to September a £400 minimum order value is required.

If you've not tried our cakes before and would like to taste just how delicious they are before booking, then you can purchase a sample box for £15 (collection only). This includes 4 of our most popular flavours. You are also welcome to book a 15 minute Zoom call to go over any initial queries you might have prior to booking. However please note, we wouldn't discuss any design details at this stage.

Designing your cake

Around 6 months before your wedding date we'll be in touch to arrange a design consultation. The appointments usually take around 1 hour and we'll discuss all your design ideas.

By this point you'll be well into your wedding planning so we recommend that you bring along any colour swatches you have that you want the cake to match, any invitation samples or even just some pictures of cakes you like the look of. It's important to remember that whilst we use images to get a feel for what you're looking for, each cake is individual and we will never replicate another designer's cake. We can advise on sizes for your cake and we will use your ideas to draw up a rough sketch during your appointment. After the appointment, we'll take time to draw up a detailed sketch and send this across to yourselves for approval, before moving forward.

Choosing your flavours

This is the part that any foodie loves. After your design consultation you will take home a tasting box containing 6 of our most popular flavours to sample.

Your tasting box will include the below flavours;

  • Madagascan Vanilla
  • Chocolate
  • Cherry Bakewell
  • Orange & Passion Fruit
  • Coconut & Raspberry
  • Gin & Elderflower

We know it's awkward watching someone else eat and you'll probably want to take time to discuss what flavours you like the most, and perhaps even get other family/friends involved with the tasting (although who really shares cake!?). These boxes are therefore perfect for you to take away and try in the comfort of your own home with a cuppa. The box will also include a menu card with all of our available flavours for you to choose from.

Payment and delivery

Once all details are finalised, your payment is due 1 month prior to your wedding date, allowing you to relax in the final weeks leading up to your big day, knowing that your cake is in hand.

We will deliver and set up your cake at your venue, and make sure that everything is perfect. All you need to worry about is digging into a slice at your reception!
